BSOD on every cold boot.

    Windows 8 64bit

    Hi Brooklyn!
Shouldn't be a virus issue. This was a clean install on a brand spankin' new sager np9170. Avast was the first download once the system was up and running. I left the sager at work tonight but I'll shut down in safe mode, wait, and restart later to see if this eliminates the issue. I've run the SFC a couple times with no issues. When I run CHKDSK it seems to hang at 29% every time then reboots as though it finished.... (just noticed it was doing this) Is this a typical win 8 thing? Did it finish and just not tell me?
Thanks again for all the help!

Seems to have had the same issue but his CHKDSK fixed the problem. I'm also running an intel SSD

    Win8.1Pro - Finally!!!

In addition to the things I discussed earlier, I found this in the added reports that you uploaded:

Only 53 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 66 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

SSD's were temperamental when they first came out, but their reliability has improved greatly over the last year or two. There are 2 things that MUST be checked on systems with BSOD's and SSD's:
    1) That the SSD firmware is the latest available for the SSD
    2) That the storage controller drivers on the motherboard are the most recent. They must date from late 2012 or later. This is ALL controllers, not just the one that the SSD is attached to.
