i have this asus laptop that has a windows 8 os. i experienced a bsod yesterday and after that i tried restarting it. then a black screen appears. it says repairing disk errors. this might take over an hour to complete. i have been waiting for 8 hours and its still running and it just wont stop. i tried to force shut down. but it just keep going to that repairing disk error state. how to fix this? help

In particular, please run a hard drive test to see if that's the cause
Pretty sure that it has one, but haven't checked inside the case!

has switchable - Intel/ATI - Used wrong drivers, now ATI card is inop :( Will have to fix it soon!

Touchscreen on laptop/32" Toshiba on HDMI (laid the Sharp TV on a mouse and cracked the screen!)
