Laptop Freezes After Lid is Opened

    Hello All

My Lenovo U310 Ultrabook does not function properly after being put into sleep mode. If I close the lid and open it again, it will work for 10 seconds and then it will crash, forcing me to restart my computer every time. I have tried to fix this in countless occasions, but I have failed every time. I have received a DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE error on multiple occasions as well.
    Some extra tidbits:
    - whenever my computer turns on, I get a notice saying something about Intel Rapid Start Technology not being enabled (when it actually is in the BIOS)
    - there is a WDC WD5000LPVT-08G33T1 SSD in my laptop

    Please help!

    Win8.1Pro - Finally!!!

It appears that the WDC WD5000LPVT-08G33T1 is a platter based HDD, not an SSD.

    This device has problems:
USB-IF xHCI USB Host Controller ROOT\UOIP_BUS_DRIVER\0000 This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device.
Please uninstall it in Device Manager and reboot the system to see if it's detected properly.

Please let the system crash a few more times and then upload a new set of reports.
    Also, Please do the following:
    - open Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc)
    - expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
    - right click on Administrative Events
    - select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
    - save the file as Admin.evtx
    - zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
    - upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

I uninstalled the "USB-IF xHCI USB Host Controller ROOT\UOIP_BUS_DRIVER\0000" thing in the Device Manager and rebooted but I don't believe the system detected it again :/

I let it crash a few more times and while waiting for Windows to gather its error data, it stuck at 0%, making me use the power button to shut the computer down. I have attached the newer 2nd set of reports and the Admin.evtx file.

If it doesn't show up as an error in Device Manager - then it's been detected and is OK.

I don't see any info on the errors (other than unexpected shutdowns). I suspect that this is a hardware problem. Please start with these fre hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics
