    System crashes when gaming. (SOLVED)

For the past few weeks I've been having some majorly irritating problems with my system completely crashing, losing signal to my monitor, and losing my audio signal. Yet my all of my system fans and front LEDs continue working, but the system will not respond or do anything until I force it off. Note this only happens when I'm playing an intensive game. Any other time my system runs perfectly fine. I've reinstalled my video card drivers thinking that it may have been a malfunction with them, but that wasn't the case. It seems like something overheats. Any ideas on what is wrong?
(Turns out my video card was a lemon. Sent it in to Evga for an RMA, and its been working fine ever since)

Have you tried checking the GPU Temps/CPU Temps when in gaming mode?

My GPU temps are fine. I checked, and they never rose above 75 degrees under load. I have no way to check my CPU temps outside of BIOS though.

Are you using HDMI cable from your monitor to the PC ? and are you using the built in speaker from the monitor ?
If not, uninstall NVIDIA Audio Drivers

Does your Monitor support 3D ? if not, uninstall NVIDIA 3D.

In addition, you have AVG antivirus installed. Anti Virus is known to cause all kind of problems, temporarily uninstall AVG. Windows Defender is good enough for protection.

    Hope this helps.

I'm connected through HDMI, but do not use the speakers in the monitor for sound. I use a Corsair Vengeance 1500 USB headset for sound. It has its own drivers for surround sound. Also my monitor does not support 3D. Thanks for the advice! I'm hoping driver issues is all it is!

Yes, Nvidia Audio will interfere with your other sound device and sometimes you'll lose sound so you can safely uninstall it.

BTW, your CPU temp is fine. If overheated, your PC will completely shutdown.

Please report back and let us know if your problem is fixed. Thanks

I tried everything you suggested to no avail. My system still crashes after about 10 minutes of gaming, but I've figured out something incredibly strange. Only certain games seem to cause it. Mainly Team Fortress 2, and World of Tanks. I can play Arma 2, a much more strenuous game, for hours with no problems.

Scratch that last remark about being able to play more strenuous games. Now ALL my games are crashing like this within 10 minutes. Yet I can still browse the web for as long as I want with no problems...
