Hi, i'm new to this forum and i hope you guy can help me :)

So my laptop is relatively new, it's not even a month old. I guess i've been downloading a lot of stuff that caused this error. Now, i'm not a computer expert or any type of expert, so please bear with me :D

Before i go on, here are my specs:

Intel core i7-3517u 1.9 ghz (4 cpus), ~2.4ghz
4gb ram
nvidia geforce gt 635m 2gb (also intel HD 4000 1.6gb)
I have no idea how to get the name of the motherboard.

So this BSOD that states driver IRQL not less or equal netio.sys keeps happening to me at least once a day. The longest i've been having without it is actually almost a week, i thought it was fixed by then but it came back again yesterday. It's pretty random and unpredictable, also annoying. I hate having to restart when im in the middle of a video, a download, a game, anything.

When i did the "grab all" test it came up with 2 folders, so i'm just gonna upload both.

Thanks very much for your help :)

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): [DEL] DuplexSecure - FAQ [/DEL] Link broken as of 21 Jul 2012
New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).

Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized.

You have both Avira and McAfee installed. Please do this:
Anti-Virus Removal:
Please do the following:
- download a free anti-virus for testing purposes: Free AntiVirus If using Windows 8, enable Windows Defender and the Windows Firewall instead.
- un-install the McAfee from your system (you can reinstall it, if so desired, when we're done troubleshooting)
- remove any remnants of McAfee using this free tool: How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee products using the Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR) (This link has changed a lot. If it doesn't work, search for McAfee Consumer Products Removal Tool)
- IMMEDIATELY install and update the free anti-virus (if using Win8, enable Windows Defender), then check to ensure that the Windows Firewall is turned on.
- perform a full system scan to ensure that no malware has snuck onto your system while the anti-virus was malfunctioning.
- check to see if this fixes the BSOD's
NOTE: NEVER run more than 1 anti-virus, firewall, Internet Security/Security Center application at the same time.
Then update the Avira program to the latest, Win8 compatible version.

Internet Download Manager is present in the raw stack text - please uninstall it to see if that stops the BSOD's

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Please uninstall this one:

Hi and thank you for replying my post!

I've been wanting to uninstall Avira for a long time because it's an annoying software (to me). I had it installed along with my windows 8. But whenever i try to uninstall it, it always gives me a BSOD in the middle of the way (i've tried it three times and it keeps coming with the same BSOD, although i forgot what the name of the BSOD was). All of my softwares like gamebooster and smart defrag were already up to date, so i was forced to uninstall them. Not sure if this fixed my BSOD, but my goal now is to uninstall Avira without getting BSOD.

Again, thanks for your help :)

EDIT: I just successfully unsintalled Avira manually through the steps given in their own website. I guess my next step is to uninstal all the listed drivers you gave me. How do i uninstall things such as "asus charger driver" and winring0x64?

Oh and one more thing, i just realized the winring0x64.sys driver is for several other programs, not just gamebooster. But i find the website really confusing, there's no simple "download update for winring0x64" button. Sorry, i'm not a computer person :S, can you direct me to a link for the specific winring update?

Thanks again.

Unfortunately things like the WinRing libraries are used by many different manufacturer's.
I suggest uninstalling the GameBooster thing. Then see if that stops the BSOD's.
If you wish to continue using GameBooster you will:
1) have to wait until the system is stabilized (no more BSOD's)
2) then download the most recent version from here: Razer Game Booster

If it still causes BSOD's, then it'd be a smart move to remove it permanently.

I've seen the Asus Charger driver listed in the Uninstall a Program applet (to get there press Win and X at the same time, then press the F key) Alternatively, run this command from the Run dialog "appwiz.cpl" (without the quotes). You can get to the Run dialog by pressing Win and R at the same time.

IMO the most important thing to remove is the GameBooster. Remove/update whatever else you can and see if that stops the BSOD's. If it doesn't, then we'll look at it some more.

Hi, thanks again for your reply.

Thing is, i've had Gamebooster long before the BSODs started happening. I just recently got the same BSOD, it's getting pretty annoying. Well, i'll try to uninstall Gamebooster and see if it works. I'm kinda reluctant to do so because gamebooster really changes my framerate during gaming, but for the sake of getting rid of the BSOD i'm uninstalling it. So, we'll see how that turns out.

As for the charger driver, the only program i found that has the word charger is called "Asus USB Charger Plus", would this be the one?

Imagine this scenario:
1) You install Gamebooster a while ago
2) Windows gets updated and Gamebooster isn't 100% compatible with the updates (it's actually probably a bit more complicated than this simple scenario).

The Asus USB Charger Plus is most likely the program (they must've changed the name on it). I haven't seen issues with this program recently, but the past problems make it a suspect.

Don't forget to temporarily remove the overclock also. If it doesn't stop the BSOD's, then you can safely resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized (no longer has BSOD's).

In short, I've mentioned all the issues that I've seen in your reports. If fixing all of them doesn't stop the BSOD's, then we start looking at hardware problems. 90% of BSOD's are due to 3rd party drivers, the remainder are due to hardware problems or Windows problems (hardware is more likely than Windows).

Good luck!

I hope it's not the hardware, because this laptop is still relatively new. I had 1 BSOD crash yesterday, but that was before i uninstalled Gamebooster (i used revo uninstaller by the way. Is it a good program?). And i also just uninstalled USB Charger Plus. Now it's the waiting game. If the BSODs don't occur within the next 2 days, then i'll mark this as solved.

Thanks a TON for your helpful replies. I love how you're a very dedicated helper in this forum :)

I rarely use Revo - but when I do it's usually the only thing that will work. I think that it's a good program, but can be dangerous if overused.

Good luck!

BSOD DPC Watchdog Violation?

Hi, i've made a post here a couple days ago, and i found this forum to be very helpful :)

After my previous BSOD was fixed (thanks to user Usasma), everything ran fine until today. I was only watching YouTube, nothing unusual, all of a sudden everything froze and a BSOD came up which read "DPC_Watchdog_violation". This is the first time i've gotten this BSOD, and i hope it's not a reoccuring thing. As always, please give some input in this problem. I appreciate all of your help, thanks :)

I asked to have your other post merged with this one ( http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-crashes-debugging/22301-bsod-dpc-watchdog-violation.html#post209264 )

While waiting, here's the BSOD analysis that I did on it.....

If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized. If you resume the overclock, please do it in stages - gradually increasing the overclock until errors appear. Then back it off a couple of steps to see if it remains stable there.

Alternate link: Disc-Tools.com
Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :
