    Windows 8 - BSOD Crash - BAD_POOL_CALLER

    Hey all,

I was wondering if you guys could help me out with this issue? I've been attempting to figure out the solution to this problem since it first happened to me a couple hours ago, with no luck. I eventually found this forum, and I figured I'd give it a shot. I hope I followed the instructions to posting in this section correctly. I've attached my minidump file. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Daemon tool was the cause for BSOD, please uninstall it. The eventsys.log also indicated there's couple of bad spots on disk 4 that the system tries to correct repeatedly, open the disk management to find which drive associated with disk 4, open the elevated command prompt to run chkdsk X: /f /r where X is the drive letter.

I went ahead and uninstalled Daemon tools, as well as checking what disk 4 was. Seems disk 4 was one of my external hard drives that I've been connecting to my laptop, but I wasn't entirely sure which one, as I usually have two running at the same time. So I used chkdsk on both of my externals. However, after doing all this, it seems that I am experiencing the BSOD, BAD_POOL_CALLER. I've attached the minidump file that's associated with the most recent BSOD. I notice that the BSOD normally occurs when I open a program titled BitComet. Is that an indication that it is the program that's causing the BSOD? I'm unsure, because I've uninstalled BitComet, and reinstalled it recently, and the BSOD still occurs. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Please uninstall AVG. This is known to have caused BSOD due to incompatibility.
