    Six BSOD's this morning

    I've received 6 BSOD's this morning while I've tried to get together enough information to submit this request for help. All have been of the watchdog type. The attached log has the first four BSOD's, but frustration prevented me from obtaining a more recent one. These have all occurred within the last two hours, and I finally had to copy the zip file from my useless Windows 8 computer to a working Windows 7 laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    You have a very old Video driver dated 9/12/2011, the latest is dated 02/18/2013. Please go to Drivers | GeForce to download the latest driver for your Geforce 8600GTS. Also your audio driver from creative lab is dated 6/3/2009.

    and why are you using IE8 as stated in your system specs ?

    I updated that driver this morning as I tried to update all drivers shortly after my original post. That seemed to fix the major problem, but I have had 1 crash since then. According to whocrashed, I got a hal.sys error. I've attached a more recent dump file that should reflect that crash as well. Thanks for the help.

    You did not update the audio driver from creative. some of your dump files indicated intelppm.sys was the cause for BSOD.
    1. Please download the new Audio driver from Creative lab and update it.
    2. Go to Dell website and check if there's an update for BIOS firmware.

    Okay, I've updated the audio driver and the BIOS through Dell. Also, I misspoke regarding the web browser.. it's IE 10 rather than IE8. I had another crash shortly after updating the audio driver and BIOS. I've attached the most recent crash log. I'm still going through various drivers to see if there's anything else I can update that might solve the problems.

    your dump files still indicated intelppm.sys was the cause for BSOD. If you use notepad and look in EventApp.txt and dxdiag.txt and search for "intelppm", you'll see the error message causing Blue Screen.

    I suggest you try to turn off this service to see if it stops BSODing:
    1. Win+X->Run and type Regedit
    2. Locate the following registry key:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Intelppm
    3. In the right pane, right-click the Start entry, and then right click Modify
    4. In the Value data box, type 4, and then click OK. Close Registry Editor
    5. Restart your PC

    I read through the files and noticed what you were talking about. I disabled that process as you described. Hopefully that'll fix the problem or at least point to another possible problem. I'll post any updates if I get another BSOD. Thanks for all the help.

    I got home from work and checked my computer. It looks like it crashed twice this morning. I've attached the most recent dump file. Thanks for the help so far, hopefully we can try to whittle down the issues.

    I used to prior to updating to Windows 8. I don't believe I installed any. I did a search for Roxio but couldn't locate any files or folders currently on my hard drive.
