Hi and welcome to the forums.

Avast anti virus is causing BSODs for you.
Uninstall Avast anti virus completely using the Avast! Removal Tool and then restart the computer.

We recommend using the built-in Windows Defender along with Malware Bytes.

Let us know if this works.

Hello and thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately I do not have avast installed. The only security software is the inbuilt windows defender tool, which I update regularly.

Do you have any other suggestions?

If it helps, the error occurs randomly only when I am browsing some forums on the internet, in all browsers(I have tried and gotten error in all of ie, chrome and also firefox)

It's something to do with the network adapters. Try uninstalling all network adapters and reboot your computer. Then let windows update find the Network Drivers for you.

Hello and thank you for your time

I looked around my programs a bit, and found that sometimes Internet Download Manager can also cause the driver to malfunction in windows 8, causing BSOD. So I uninstalled it, and it seems to have stopped the BSOD for the moment.

I will report here again if I start having trouble again.

Once again, thank you very much for your assistance :)
