BSOD - SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (mrxsmb20.sys)

Hi,

Getting regular BSOD when accessing a Network Attached Storage device. I suspect it's being caused by McAfee's real time scanner, as when I disable it, I can access the drive with out issue. The issue is usually only present when I'm accessing the network drive using file explorer, although 1 BSOD was caused when accessing the folder via Picasa 3.

Any inputs appreciated.

A bit of a cop out answer, but I would take off MacAfee, and use AVG etc.
I work for a software company, and have had multiple issues with MacAfee intercepting or blocking process. Spent an age fault finding what the root cause when it was MacAfee causing the issue.
Would see if someone can give you more of a detail diagnoses, but if all else fails you could try the above.
