PC Keeps Randomly Crashing (BSOD) on a Daily Basis

I've been running Windows 8 for couple of months and it keeps randomly crashing. Mostly when I have multiple on going processes.

I believe I did a mistake when I upgraded some drivers via Windows update.

I tried to debug memory.dmp (8GB) but it keeps coming up with different thing.

I keep losing my work data on a daily basis.

I hope you guys can help me with this, because BSOD is driving me crazy. :)

Hi there!

You have lots crashes I found something interesting stuff as well. I think ASACPI.sys is the root of all issues.

Rebuild the list of counters in the registry:

Click Start, expand All Programs, and expand Accessories.
Right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
At the command prompt, type lodctr /r, and then press ENTER.

For this particular error:

Code:

The BaseIndex value from the Performance registry is the first DWORD in the Data section, LastCounter value is the second DWORD in the Data section, and LastHelp value is the third DWORD in the Data section.

Update the following drivers:

Code:
E1G6032E.sys Wed Mar 24 02:38:16 2010 - Intel (R) PRO/1000 Adapter NDIS 6 deserialized drivers
[COLOR=#ff0000][I][B]ASACPI.sys   Mon Mar 28 08:00:36 2005[/B][/I][/COLOR]  -   Asus ATK0110 ACPI Utility (a known BSOD maker in Win7 and Win8). Also a part of many Asus utilities http://www.sysnative.com/drivers/driver.php?id=ASACPI.sys

You have Windows Activation error which is not good.

UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f)
This means a trap occurred in kernel mode, and it's a trap of a kind
that the kernel isn't allowed to have/catch (bound trap) or that
is always instant death (double fault). The first number in the
bugcheck params is the number of the trap (8 = double fault, etc)
Consult an Intel x86 family manual to learn more about what these
traps are. Here is a *portion* of those codes:
If kv shows a taskGate
use .tss on the part before the colon, then kv.
Else if kv shows a trapframe
        use .trap on that value
Else
.trap on the appropriate frame will show where the trap was taken
(on x86, this will be the ebp that goes with the procedure KiTrap)
Endif
kb will then show the corrected stack.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000008, EXCEPTION_DOUBLE_FAULT
Arg2: fffff880009c6d30
Arg3: fffff8808beee428
Arg4: fffff801f99351c5

Thank you Capt.Jack Sparrow for doing this research.

I did execute lodctr /r successfully.

However, I have ASUSTeK Computer INC. Crosshair IV Formula (AM3) and I couldn't find a newer version of Asus ACPI Utility that would work on Windows 8.

I keep getting BSDOD, totally randomly.

What do you guys suggest me to do :)

Also, when I checked under Device Manager it looks like it's using a 2009 version. I attached a screenshot. View attachment 17118

Anyhow, I did remove(rename) the ASACPI.sys and later disabled it in Autoruns. I will update you if I keep getting BSDOs.
