Windows 8 Machine Crashes On First Few Startups Each Day

Hello!

My machine gets various BSOD messages on the first few startups each day. Sometimes it does an automatic restore, sometimes it just starts after several BSOD and is fine. Then, I have no issues for the rest of the day. This reoccurs after a long shut down. I have attached my SF files as asked. I really appreciate any help!

You might have a bad memory stick. Please download Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool, burn it to CD/USB then run the test.
Let it run for at least 3 passes or preferably over night.

I'm sorry I didn't mention this! I ran it overnight last week, no errors

May I ask what memory diagnostic program did you use ?

the one you mentioned, memtest86+. installed it on a USB stick, restarted, ran from usb, etc.

OK, in the dump files it all indicated Memory Corruption. Have you run sfc /scannow from elevated command prompt to check if all your system files are not corrupted ?

Please Try:
Win+C ->Settings->Power then press and hold SHIF key then click on restart
Click on Trouble Shoot->Advanced Option->Startup Settings->Enable Safe Mode then click on Restart
Then try to run sfc /scannow again.

I am getting the same message in Safe Mode.

okay I finally got it to run, it says it found some corrupt files that could not be repaired. computer is telling me i don't have permission to attach the cbs.log file.

OK, at least we're getting somewhere... From the Elevated Command Prompt, Change Dir to Desktop then type:

findstr /C: "[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >sfcdetails.txt

You should have sfcdetails.txt on Desktop. Use notepad to open it and find out what files that sfc trird to repair.

how do i manually replace these files?View attachment 17011

Sometimes you need to re-run sfc /scannow several times if necessary until you get a message: Windows did not find any integrity violation.

Also, try to run it in safe mode.

okay, it now says "Windows did not find any integrity violation"

should this be the end of it or is there more to look at? I really appreciate your time.

One more thing that you should do is to run chkdsk C: /f /r from elevated command prompt to make sure your hard disk is healthy. This process will take a while so before you go to sleep, let it run.
Keep using Windows for a few days and see if you have anymore BSOD.
Please report back if it's fixed and please mark "SOLVED".

woke up to the same issues today. DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION followed by IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and a couple more restarts, now everything is normal. i have no idea what to look at.

Can you re-up the new zip with the latest BSOD ?

hey sorry it's been a couple days. it looks like the motherboard had a bad DIMM slot on it. both modules were testing fine but the one slot was causing the issues. i found this after formatting the drive and trying to reinstall the OS. i put a new mobo in today (ASRock) and everything seems to be working perfectly.

Hmm... That's what I suspected on the 2nd post of this thread but you said the memory test passed.
Anyway, I am glad you got the problem solved.
