I say cont. in title because I have had issues in the past.
BSOD Random 0x000000BE nvlddmkm.sys - Page 7 - Windows 7 Support Forums
After the beginning of November I have been BSOD free. I upgraded to Windows 8 in early December. The last couple BSOD's have occurred while playing "DungeonDefenders" (dundefgame.exe). My current guess is the problem is no longer voltage issues, which was my previous problem. I have noticed while playing Dung Def my mouse gets really laggy, and can only be fixed by unplugging/plugging it in. Razer has yet to release driver updates for Win 8 for this model. (should be out this month). Any questions let me know. I think Dave76 may just take this one up too.

Thanks!

Hi StarrBurst.

Can you fill in your System Specs?
Use Speccy for the details.

Are all the BIOS settings still the same as the last posts in Seven Forums?
Confirm these settings:
'DRAM Voltage Control' to 1.610v
'CPU NB VID' to 1.300v

Have you checked for SSD firmware update?

Your last two crashes:
Code:

Have you updated all the drivers from your motherboards support site?
Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 W8 drivers
Be sure to install the Realtek LAN Driver v8.002.0612.2012.

The last crash listed could be a RAM issue or driver issue.
If you have any motherboard (Gigabyte) utilities installed, un-install them, they are known to cause instabilities.

From your System Event Logs:
A lot of these.
Code:

  Description:
The system firmware has changed the processor's memory type range registers (MTRRs) across a sleep state transition (S5). This can result in reduced resume performance.
First try changing the hard disk sleep time to a high number so it won't ever sleep.
Control Panel > Power Options > Change When the Computer Sleeps > Change Advanced Power Settings >
Expand 'Hard disk', then 'Turn off hard disk after', change time to sleep.

If the above doesn't work, sleep crashes possibly can be stopped by disabling Hybrid Sleep.
Control Panel > Power Options > Change When the Computer Sleeps > Change Advanced Power Settings >
Expand 'Sleep', then 'Allow hybrid sleep', click on 'Setting' and change to 'Off'.
Some systems are known to crash when this is turned on.

If you are overclocking, return your BIOS to Optimized Defaults.
This may be from CPU overheating. Have you checked the CPU core temps?
Make sure it's not overheating again.

Your App Events Log is showing a lot of Steam and game crashes.
This can be caused by the issues listed above.

Do you have an updated W8 Razor mouse driver?
It's causing problems.
If no new driver is available, use another mouse for testing purposes, un-install any software and drivers.
Razor drivers are known to cause instability in Windows 7 & 8.

Those 2 voltages were correct.
Tried to update firmware using Cruicial's m4 updater thingy. It froze computer twice. It says let it will only take a few minutes. After 10 minutes of my computer not responding on both attempts, I gave up.
Motherboard drivers are about to be installed/reinstalled.
I"m not overclocking.
Will watch core temps tonight when I can have time to game. The idle temp of CPU is around 20-30 deg C.
I think the crashes that are steam related are due to the fact the Razer mouse has no drivers yet. Those are to be released this month according to Razer's Support Site. It was originally December, which is why I put Windows 8 on at that time.

We all need to be able to see your System Specs without downloading a file.
Enter them in the 'My System Specs' drop box at the lower left of any of your posts.

Did you check the current SSD firmware?
It may already be up to date.

You need to remove the Razor mouse, drivers and any software. They have a long history of causing problems.
Use a non-Razor mouse for testing purposes.
You can try it again when you get the new driver.
