Solved DPC_Watchdog_Violation causes my laptop to restart

I am getting the DPC_Watchdog_Violation error, which causes my laptop to go to blue screen and then restart. It happens about every 10 minutes, or more frequently if I am watching a video. I have attached my dumps, if anyone could help me it would be much appreciated. On a related note, how would I go about opening, reading, and analyzing the dump files by myself Is there anywhere you guys could recommend to learn about this stuff? Thanks!

My Computer

System One

  • OS
    Windows 8
There's lot's to learn about BSOD's. Here's a couple of links at my website:
- Further info on BSOD error messages available at: BSOD Index
- Info on how to troubleshoot BSOD's (DRAFT): BSOD How-To for Users - DRAFT
- How I do it: "How I do it" - BSOD analysis for Users
- Older version (but easier to start with): WinDbg Analysis Report
Also see the links in my signature....

Problems with this device:
USB-IF xHCI USB Host Controller ROOT\UOIP_BUS_DRIVER\0000 This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device.
Locate it in Device Manager. Right click on it and select "Uninstall". Let it uninstall and then reboot to let the system re-detect/install it. Check Device Manager to be sure the error doesn't return (if it does, post back here).

Norton drivers are older, please try this to help rule out Norton as a cause:
Anti-Virus Removal:
Please do the following:
- download a free anti-virus for testing purposes: Free AntiVirus If using Windows 8, enable Windows Defender and the Windows Firewall instead.
- un-install the Norton from your system (you can reinstall it, if so desired, when we're done troubleshooting)
- remove any remnants of Norton using this free tool: http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080710133834EN
- IMMEDIATELY install and update the free anti-virus (if using Win8, enable Windows Defender), then check to ensure that the Windows Firewall is turned on.
- perform a full system scan to ensure that no malware has snuck onto your system while the anti-virus was malfunctioning.
- check to see if this fixes the BSOD's
NOTE: NEVER run more than 1 anti-virus, firewall, Internet Security/Security Center application at the same time.

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Silver with a neat Samsung logo
    Cooling
sub-par, gotta get around to working on it soon Worked on it - still sub-par! :(
    Keyboard

    Windows Defender and Windows Firewall
    Other Info
    I'm handsome and a snappy dresser :0)
Thanks so much for the help! I just removed Norton and it seems to be fixed now after two days... Should I still re-install that other driver?
