Windows 8 BSOD (WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR 0x00000124)

I've been getting this BSOD a lot lately. I know something hardware related is definitely wrong.

It's not my SSD (bought a new one and put the OS on it, still happening).
Not RAM. Did a memtest and it was all fine.
I've got two HDDs in my computer as well, tried unplugging them and it still happens.

My CPU was overclocked, I've just now reset my BIOS settings back to default so my CPU is now back to factory clock settings. Hopefully that does something...

Anyway, if anyone can help...

Here's one of the dump files if anyone would like to see it. 012913-8328-01.dmp

Do you still need help with this? If so, please post back and I'll see what assistance I can provide.

Please provide these reports (even if not experiencing BSODs) so we can provide a complete analysis: https://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cr...e-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html

Please also do this:
- open Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc)
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

Oh no. I solved the issue.

Turns out for some reason I don't understand (wear and tear I assume), my CPU didn't like being overclocked any more. I've restored it to stock settings and I'm no longer getting any errors.

The extra stress put on the system by an overclock often causes the system to crash after being overclocked for a while.
With an overclocked system the first test is to remove the overclock to see if the system still crashes.

This helps in 2 ways:
1) it tells you if the overclock is at fault
2) it let's you run the diagnostic utilities as intended - on a system functioning as it was intended, without the added stress of an overclock (which can spoil the results).

Good lucK!
