    windows 8 64 bit

    computer specs:
    Acer Aspire 7741z-5731
    Windows 8 64 bit
    intel pentium processor p6000
    3 gb memory
    250gb hd

My computer seems to be crashing more and more frequently with error code irql_not_less_or_equal. I have attached the sf diagnostic zip to the thread.

I have also noticed in device manager error code:Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52) on my intel processor and thought this might be causing the crashes. I have tried to update and uninstall reinstall the drivers for the processor but have not had any success.

please let me know if there is any more information I can give you to help me solve this annoying issue. Thanks for your time and effort.

You did nothing wrong. Please understand that not very many people know how or have the tool to analyze the crash dump so just be patient.

Anyway, the crash dump indicated that you have a bad stick of memory.
Please download Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool . Burn it to a CD, boot up with CD then run memory diagnostic.

For some reason I was unable to run memtest86. First I booted a hiren's cd that I had with the memtest on it. Then I tried making a bootable usb from the link you provided me. Both times the memtest86 would start and I would see the blue screen, but It would just automatically reboot the computer without running any tests. Is there another test I could run on my hiren's cd to get the same results, like windows memory diagnostics, or maybe you have another solution for me. Thanks for all your help topgundcp!

Windows 8 does have a memory diagnostic test but it is not good at finding errors, besides you could not boot into Windows.
If I understand right, you said you could boot from Hiren's CD then when you tried to run memtest+, it again rebooted. Is that how it happened ?

I also created a bootable usb from the site you provided
Then I restarted my computer in boot mode picking usb. The memtest86 program then flashed up on the screen and immediately rebooted once again.

I did go ahead and run a windows memory diagnostic test that was also on my Hiren's boot cd. I had a lot of errors coming up.
ERAND, INVC, WMATS+, WINVC, and LRAND all failed.

Yes, I think you have a bad stick. You have 3GB in your laptop, what you could do is to take out one stick, rerun the test then swap the other one to identify which one is bad.

So... I took your advice and testes each of the sticks of ram individually. The funny thing is that they both passed every test. Then I put both sticks of ram back in the computer and ran a extensive test overnight. The ram passed with flying colors once again. Is it possible just reseating the ram could cause it to work properly again. The computer has yet to crash today... I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Yes, If your RAM does not make good contact then it can become flaky so if it does not crash again then probably was the problem.
