    After Nvidia-driver install, loop

    Hi

Since they've removed the F8 option I'm at a loss how to fix this.

I upgradet my XP to Win8 Pro, worked great.
I installed my Java, Flash, F-secure, Firefox, Thunderbird, worked great.
I installed and played World of Tanks, never run better !
I decided to upgrade my Grapihcs driver (Nvidia 9600) ... FAIL

After rebooting my machine after the nvidia install, I get past the little Window screen (light blue one with the little animated circle underneath), then it starts to act up. I works hard on the harddrive, while "shutting off / turning on my monitir (not actually the power, but like when switching off into power safe mode) ever single second. While the monitor is "on" I can get the mouse arrow to show, then it switches off (into power save like state) and back on again. I've let do this for approx 1 hour (went to do dinner) in hopes it was configuring the darn thing. It wasn't.

I hope someone can guide me to a solution, I'm really at a loss how to fix this.

P.S. I got Win8 as the download upgrade option, so I have no CD to reinstall from - else I would have tried that first

Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

Please follow that method, if you cannot access your PC to gather information, please try booting into safemode with networking and trying it there. Please wait for someone with more experience with diagnosing BSoDs to come and help (please wait a few days since the forums are low on helpers)

I can't boot into safemode. That's my whole problem. In Win8 the F8 option is removed and Win8 never starts up properly.

Just in case--for future reference--on installing NVIDIA drivers.

Some system specs might help us. For future, see my sig. Having a system repair disc would be really nice at this point, although there are few guarantees in this regard.

Well, creating a system disc at this point really isn't an option as I can't get into windows.
I can't tell you what driver version from Nvidia as I can't get into windows.
    I can't download Windows8 as I can't get into windows.
I can't get help from Microsoft because I can't get a hold of my PID ... as I can't get into windows.

    It's a GeForce 9600
    Intel Dual-Core 2,6
4GB memory divided by 2x2GB slots.

I require your motherboard, as that controls the boot options for BIOS.

Right, all that I mentioned was for future reference--except that I mentioned that more info on your computer/system might help us. Do you have info on your mobo?
