Hi, I have the Bad Pool Caller BSOD when I turn on my web browser or at other random moments. This happens ONLY when I have wifi ON. With wifi off the computer works fine. Recently I installed Comodo Internet Security but it didnt show up in installed programs so I used the uninstall app delivered with it. Later I installed Kaspersky. Then the problems begun. I cant use internet but the Metro Mail app works (others like News dont connect to the net).
I checked this thread:
http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-crashes-debugging/5107-bad_pool_caller-3.html
I cant open my minidump file so Im posting it here.
I dont have any programs listed in this topic.
Please help me solve this problem.

Welcome to EightForums.

The BSOD seems to be caused by Kaspersky KNEPS Power driver I would uninstall Kaspersky and use the default antivirus app on Win 8 and see if it stops the BSOD problem.

BAD_POOL_CALLER (c2)
The current thread is making a bad pool request. Typically this is at a bad IRQL level or double freeing the same allocation, etc.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000007, Attempt to free pool which was already freed
Arg2: 00000000000011c1, (reserved)
Arg3: 00000000040d000e, Memory contents of the pool block
Arg4: fffffa8005fb1a00, Address of the block of pool being deallocated

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the response. This solved the BSOD problem but I still cant access the internet. Chrome suggests to change the proxy settings. I did it but it doesnt work. Only one program uses the internet: Mail app, others, including other Metro programs like news cant access internet.

Have you tried updating your network drivers? Are there any available for your Win 8 System?

Its funny, cause I opened Windows Update and it recommended 1 optional update - Zune software. It is downloading at the moment. Should I look for network drivers on windows update or manually in the internet?

That's weird.

If windows update offers the drivers no need to look for them on the internet.

I always had my drivers and other things available on Win Update up-to-date. Now it doesnt offer any drivers (zune is a totally different software). Its strange that there is an internet connection (windows update and mail app work) but other applications dont see it.

I performed a clean boot but it did nothing. The diskcheck found 1 error and repaired it. The internet still doesnt work. Any new ideas?

Really out of ideas.

Were you able to get it sorted?
