Dear

I am a new member and wish to thank you for such a great site!
My problem is getting freezes then BSOD with DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION error.
I have just bought a ACER Aspire S3 Ultrabook with W8 installed on it.
This happens randomly, sometimes once a day or five in an hour.

I checked that there is no yellow ! in any of the system devices.
I uninstalled pre-installed McAffee Int. Security but still continues.

It is very annoying and please help me...

Regards

Hakan

McAfee is still running, please use this free tool to remove it: How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee products using the Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR)
Ensure that the Windows Firewall is turned on once the McAfee is removed.

Another possibility is a non-USB 3.0 capable printer being used on a USB 3.0 port. If this is the case, you'll have to uninstall the software/drivers for the printer, then reinstall them when connecting the printer to a USB 2.0 or 1.1 port. If the new computer doesn't have USB 2.0 or 1.1 then you'll most likely continue to have difficulties with it (I'm wondering if there's going to be a patch for the USBXHCI.sys driver in the near future).

I hope that this fixes the problem, as the next step is rather complicated (for me).
Could you please check in C:\Windows to see if there's a file named MEMORY.dmp. If so, please zip it up and upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link to it here.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :
