    BSOD Issue

    Hi,

I found this resourceful forum while trying to solve my BSOD issue. I recently switched my PC from Windows 7 to Windows 8. Since completing the installation of 8, I have had the random BSOD resets that others have had. However, in Windows 7 I would also have strange random lock-ups without a BSOD. So I believe it may be a hardware problem.

I am uploading my ZIP file per instruction; if anyone can shed any light I'd really appreciate it!
    Thanks in advance

Yes, it's a hardware error, stop overclocking the CPU and see if that solves the problem.

Tobias, thank you for taking the time to look at this.

It's interesting you've found this. The CPU is not overclocked, and is at it's stock 3.4 GHz. In fact it is not a 'K' version, so I believe it is not possible to overclock it.

Could there be a different issue behind this error?

To add, I performed a memTest for 10 hours with no errors. Also I updated the MOBO

It could be caused by CPU overheating, check the temperature after running a stress test like prime95.
Also check for newer versions of these drivers:

Unfortunately none of these fixes has solved the issue. Can anyone weigh in with additional suggestions?

Thank you in advance for your help!

I came to the same conclusion as Tobias, either a hardware problem or overclocked/overheating CPU. I could only find those drivers out of date which of course you can find updated drivers at the official sites:

    Realtek: Realtek
ASUS P8P67 (chipset drivers): ASUS - Motherboards- ASUS P8P67 (REV 3.1)

Could you please supply some more recent minidumps for further inspection by someone with more expertise?

Am away from said computer at the moment, but will supply more minidumps when possible.

My CPU is not overclocked or overheating. When you say 'hardware problem' are you inferring the CPU is likely faulty?
