Hi,

I upgraded my homemade box to Win 8 64 pro from Win 7 64 pro. Since then I've had random crashes during use and during sleep. In the morning, I usually find the "the computer has recovered from a serious error." Attached is the dump info folder.

Also, if the computer sleeps for a few hours, it will not wake. I have to re-start the machine by turning off the power.

Thanks so much for your help !

Sorry, I forgot to mention that it tells me that it had a driver power failure.

Thanks !

I'm only just getting into BSOD analyzing so take this information with a pinch of salt. I noticed you have a few drivers that might need updating if possible to windows 8 64bit versions:

Creative OS Services Driver ctoss2k.sys (2011): Driver Reference Table - ctoss2k.sys
Realtek PCI/PCIe Adapters Rt630x64.sys (2011): Driver Reference Table - Rt630x64.sys
Creative Audio Driver (WDM) ctprxy2k.sys (2011): Driver Reference Table - ctprxy2k.sys
Creative Audio Driver (WDM) ctaud2k.sys (2011): Driver Reference Table - ctaud2k.sys
Creative Technology Audigy ha20x22k.sys (2011): Driver Reference Table - ha20x22k.sys
Creative E-mu Plug-in Architecture Driver emupia2k.sys (2011): Driver Reference Table - emupia2k.sys
Creative SoundFont Management Device Driver ctsfm2k.sys (2011): Driver Reference Table - ctsfm2k.sys
Creative sound card driver CTEXFIFX.SYS (2011): Driver Reference Table - CTEXFIFX.SYS
Creative sound card driver CT20XUT.SYS (2011): Driver Reference Table - CT20XUT.SYS
dccmtr.sys (2011): Datacolor Imaging Solutions - The World Leader in Color Innovation (no DRT)

So it looks like your soundcard drivers need updating to win8 versions if possible and your realtek PCI Adapter.

The minidump seems to be pointing to: atapi.sys which is the ATAPI IDE Miniport Driver: http://www.carrona.org/drivers/search.php?id=atapi.sys

Make sure you use windows update to update to the latest version and if possible upgrade your chipset drivers. This file is also known to be a target of malware and rootkit infection so download malwarebytes and tdsskiller, update and do a full scan of your system:

Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer
http://support.kaspersky.com/downloads/utils/tdsskiller.exe

Failing that it may be corrupted in which case a refresh of your system might help.
