Hola Friends, Sometimes I get BSOD blaming cdd.dll and this is only when I quit Hitman Absolution but sometimes it doesn't occur

I have ATI Radeon 5770 HD Latest drivers and Realtek builtin sound card and another additional creative sound blaster external sound card...

core i3 @ 3.0 GHZ

Windows 8 RTM x64 Enterprise

apologies for not uploading dump file as I'm not at home right now, will upload in the evening.

If overclocking, stop while we try to fix this. Feel free to resume any overclock once the system is stable again.

Please uninstall all AMD video software from your system and then install the drivers only. Here's how to do that: ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure

I didn't overclock my SPU or anything else, anyway do you think this is caused by CCC apps ?

cdd.dll is the Canonical Display Driver dll - so I figure that problems with it are related to problems with the video drivers (long story, but we generally don't blame Windows files with BSOD's - and we start by investigating 3rd party programs/drivers (such as ATI))

There are many, many things that I've seen go wrong with ATI drivers and apps (CCC and AMD Overdrive are the most common)

But, we'll know more once you upload the reports and we have a chance to see deeper into the problem.

Only 16 Windows Updates installed - most systems are at around 30 now. Please check Windows Update for ALL available updates (it may take several visits).

HotSpotShield is known to cause BSOD's in Win7 systems - I'd suspect the same behavior in Win8 systems. Please uninstall it to test and see if that is the cause.

You have the 2005 version of ASACPI.sys (the Asus ATK0110 ACPI Utility driver) - a known cause of BSOD's in Win7 systems. I've seen several of these in Win8 systems also - so I think it's safe to say it causes them in Win8 also. Please update to the latest available version from the Asus website. If unable to find it, please post back with the exact make and model of your Asus motherboard.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :
