I don't know if this is in the right topic but still.
Okay so let's get to the point, I am using Win 8 Pro. And i can't have my computer on for a long period of time and it annoys me because i live on the countryside so i don't get that good connection every one else has. Basically i come up to a maximum of 300kb/s when i download something like a movie or what not so it has to stay on the rest of the night to download it. But the thing is (this never happened before i rebooted my computer and got Win 8 Pro) the computer restarts and then i get this loud noise from the back of the computer it sound like a Hairdryer and i need help fixing it!

Sincerely, Filip.

Welcome to Eight Forums, Filip. It's good to have you aboard.

The hair dryer sound is the case fan, CPU fan, or both. Sounds like a dust problem to me. How old is it? When was the last time the case was opened and blown out?

I know when to clean mine when I hear the CPU fan roar up more often otherwise it runs at a lower RPM. I can see the fan speeds and CPU temp in my BIOS.

In thinking about it, my tower fans will roar for about five seconds when upon waking from sleep every once in a while. Not a constant thing. A quirk of which a few others have and never found a solution. This happens in my 7 side also. It's really no big deal.

How long will yours roar?
