Hi,
Just got my new Samsung ATIV SMART PC, preinstalled with Windows 8. After a few days, it begins to crash a lot, with mainly driver_power_state_failure as the cause. Could you nice ladies and gentlemen help me find the solution for this problem? Attached here is my diagnostic files using SF Tool. Thanks before...

I'm late for work, please start with this stuff. I'll post more after work....

The memory dumps blame a lot of different things - I'd suggest starting by updating all drivers to the latest Win8 compatible drivers from the manufacturer's website.

Un-install Norton and install Microsoft Security Essentials (it's free with a web search). Test to see if that stops the BSOD's.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

odFips.sys Tue Mar 25 11:03:56 2008 (47E9145C)

odFips.sys - this driver hasn't been added to the DRT as of this run. Please search Google/Bing for the driver if additional information is needed.

odFips2.sys Mon Apr 7 12:31:36 2008 (47FA4C68)

odFips2.sys - this driver hasn't been added to the DRT as of this run. Please search Google/Bing for the driver if additional information is needed.

jnprvamgr.sys Tue Feb 10 21:09:25 2009 (49923355)

jnprvamgr.sys - this driver hasn't been added to the DRT as of this run. Please search Google/Bing for the driver if additional information is needed.

jnprna.sys Wed May 6 12:50:31 2009 (4A01BFD7)

jnprna.sys - this driver hasn't been added to the DRT as of this run. Please search Google/Bing for the driver if additional information is needed.

Usasma, thanks for the reply. I already uninstalled Norton Internet Security, and now using the Windows Defender and Win Firewall combination. And i can't find SRTSPX.SYS anymore in my harddisk. Maybe it was deleted by the time I uninstalled Norton. And for the other 4 drivers in red, it seems it came from one app, the Odyssey Access Client from Juniper Network. I need this app to connect to my office network, because strangely, my windows 8 didn't come built in with CISCO PEAP, so i need another supplicant software. But i'll try to uninstall this app and see if the BSOD still come up. I'll let you know the result.

Memory dump appears corrupted.
Please check in C:\Windows to see if you have a MEMORY.dmp file that's got the same date/time stamp
If so, please zip it up and upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link to it here.

Beyond that, try running Driver Verifier according to these directions: Driver Verifier Settings

Usasma, i decided to do a fresh install, set a restore point after each system change (e.g windows updates, driver install) and so far this thing doesn't crash at all. I also didn't install norton internet security and juniper odyssey, and it's pretty stable right now. Thanks for your help.

Make sure you set a restore point before trying the Juniper again - it seemed to be the most likely problem to me.

Good luck!
