Basically, the problem is with crappy N****A SATA controller driver. It's been described there: ASUS K50ID & Windows 7 = Random freezes - Page 2 and in many other places (just google for "nvstor errors"). The solution is simple: get rid of NV driver and let Windows install its own driver.
Go to Device Manager, find the branch "NVIDIA SATA Controller" (or something similar, I don't remember exactly) and select Uninstall (make sure you've checked the option to remove driver files). Next thing is to disconnect you PC from the Internet (otherwise it will download broken driver again). Now reboot your PC. Windows will fall back to generic SATA driver. No more freezes :) It will be safe to restore your Internet connection then. You could disable NCQ in Device Manager if the above wouldn't work.
Good luck.

At work we run diagnostics on every system that we take in for repair (before we even start working on it). At a minimum, please run the free diagnostics here: Initial Hardware Diagnostics. For more in-depth diagnostics, please run those listed here: Hardware Diagnostics

Why is the Windows partition designated as X: ?

Please check Windows Update to ensure that you have all available Windows Updates.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions). I suspect the same behavior on Win8 systems.
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): [DEL] DuplexSecure - FAQ [/DEL] Link broken as of 21 Jul 2012
New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).
