    Post the crash report.

With 16GB RAM you likely need a few settings adjustments.
Don't start OC'ing until your system is stable.

Bump your DRAM voltage to 1.550v
Bump the IMC voltage, VCCIO to 1.150v

Run memtest86+ for 7 full passes to check for stability.
If that passes then run OCCT for a system check.
    OCCT stability checking tool
Run the CPU:OCCT test for at least 30 minutes, be sure to monitor your CPU and GPU temps.
Set the time before you start.
When its done, pass or fail, it will make some graphs. Post these here as they are useful for analyses.

OK, I went back to the BIOS and loaded optimized defaults and its been 9 hours now and no crashes. Can I consider my cured or should I run more diagnostics? Shall I try now with all the RAM installed?

Did you make the BIOS voltage changes?
Yes install all the RAM and test for stability.

I didnt touch the voltages, I just pressed F5 and the f10ed out of there. I didn't notice your instructions, I shall go back to the BIOS and implement them before adding the additional RAM and running tests.

    Ok, good plan.

    Let us know the results.

Hi Dave, I ran memtest with all 16Gb of RAM installed and had 7 passes with no errors. I have run OCCT for 30 mins with no errors but the results consist of 21 separate pngs. I can post the images if you tell me which ones you want to see or I can zip them all up and attach. Let me know what's best.

BTW even though I have reset the Motherboard to optimized defaults, you can see from the tests that, under load, the CPU is running at 4430 MHz. Is that normal or does the CPU multiplier not get reset?

Good news on the RAM test.

You can zip and post the graphs.

Optimized defaults should reset the CPU frequency to stock.
    Post the CPUZ CPU tab.

Yeah its great news cheers Dave. Everything seems to be running smoothly for now. Haven't had a crash for a while now.

I've attached the graphs and please see my Cpuz CPU tab below...

Your CPU voltage, Vcore, is pretty high at 1.35v, your CPU temps are high but still below Intel's limit.
I would start reducing the Vcore by 0.05v, run CPU:OCCT for at least 30 minutes. When it becomes unstable, OCCT crashes, then raise the CPU Vcore by 0.02v, test with CPU:OCCT, until stable.
This is standard CPU OC procedure.
When stable you should run Prime95 for 6-8 hours to confirm stability, any failures then you will need to raise CPU Vcore by 0.02v and test again.
This procedure will get the lowest Vcore voltage and the lowest CPU temps at your OC.

Strange, in the second OCCT run, 47 minutes, the CPU temps were slowly falling and then started rising at 43 minutes.
This might be due to a CPU cooler issue, you should check if it is too loose or too tight, either one might cause this.

Check the CPU frequency multiplier in BIOS, let me know what it is set at.
Other than this, and testing to get the lowest voltage/temps, it all looks good.
