Computer occasionally crashes right after startup.

Greetings! On occasion, my computer will crash right after the screen which shows the OS is loading. No BSOD, just quietly shuts down. It doesn't happen very often. It's actually only happened twice in five days, but it's enough for me to wonder what the frag is going on! I have a dual boot machine. My other OS is Ubuntu 12.10. Could this be the reason for the crashes? It's the only reason I can think of.

I have run the diagnostic tool from the BSOD instructions page. It said no dump file was found, but it still generated a folder with files in it, so I am including it in this post. If there is more I need to do, let me know, please.

Did an Automatic Repair (as explained here: Automatic Repair - Run in Windows 8) and it gave me the message that it couldn't repair my computer. I tried it five times, as I know it takes a couple of tries to get it to work. So that didn't work.

Happened a third time. So I guess no one has any answers?

EDIT: The latest files from the diagnostic tool is attatched.

That usually indicates a hardware issue.
Can you fill in your system specs?
You can use this app to find them: Speccy Free System information Utility
Then enter them in the 'My System Specs' drop box at the lower left of any of your posts.

    From your System Events Log.
There are more than 20 of these in a row.

    To setup for small minidumps:
    Open 'Control Panel'
Click 'Advanced system settings' in the upper left corner
Under 'Startup and Recovery' click 'Settings'
    Under 'System failure':
Check the 'Write an event to the system log' box
    Un-check 'Automatically restart'
In the 'Write debugging information' drop box select 'Small memory dump (256KB)'
Under 'Small dump directory:' it should be '%SystemRoot%\Minidump'
Check the 'Overwrite any existing file' box.

Okay. Did everything you told me to do. '

The minimum temp is 43 degrees. The max is 59.

Uninstalled the Apple software. Listed my specs.

Hold on and I'll run the diagnostic tool again.

Did you change the settings for the mini dump and the page file?
Still no crash dump file in you zip folder.

If Automatic Repair couldn't repair your computer, it may be boot issue or file problem.
    Run the System File Checker:
How to Run the "SFC /SCANNOW" Command at Boot or in Windows 8
Run it 3 times with re-boots.

I did the sfc /scannow twice and the second time said the following: "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations". The scan ran to 100%. Since I got that kind of result I didn't do it a third time.

Funny thing is, is that I was having driver issues regarding my wireless when I had Windows 7, and I did a driver update. But it appears I may have got the wrong drivers. So I'm gonna be looking into that in a bit.

Also, I may have either solved some of the problem or created a workaround. I turned off Fast Startup/hybrid boot and the crashing at startup seems to have ceased. I did some reading here: Fast Startup - Turn On or Off in Windows 8 and I saw that some people have had issues with Fast Startup. Also, I did some reading and it seems some people have issues with dual boot systems and Fast Startup. What do you think? Hopefully this will fix things.

EDIT: Okay. So I went to install the old drivers, and it turns out there is a compatibility issue going on here. I uninstalled the driver for my wireless. Now I need to find drivers that ARE compatible, or wait until they issue drivers that are compatible with Windows 8.

One final thing: I did configure the crash dump settings as you told me to do. I have no idea why the dump files aren't saving.

Get your system to produce minidumps urgently.

Forcing a System Crash from the Keyboard (Windows Debuggers) specifies how to force a crash.

Try to set your paging to automatically managed (The dumps are extracted from the pagefile after the crash). You need to have a page file on the boot partition. Tell us where your pagefile is.

This didn't work. I couldn't get the system to crash. I have a laptop, so I wasn't sure which applied to me, PS2 or USB keyboard, so I tried both. I just couldn't get the system to crash.
