i can't find anything about it my manual.
i'm using a p8z68-vlx asus motherboard, that's where i looked for anything on the manual.
HDD health status is "GOOD" according to crystal diskinfo.

once again thank you for your speedy replies, I truly hope that with your help, we'll to get to the bottom of this soon.

although the bsods can occur randomly when I am playing a computer game using a ramdisk, the computer crashes frequently without any BS. the screen goes all jagged and multicoloured and the sound buzzes. followed by a computer restart.

Thanks for the additional information. Go to the website of your graphics card and get the most up to date driver.
Give us any additional BSOD reports
If you fill out the system specs portion of your thread we can help find the proper method for a computer diagnostic test.

Hey Rich sorry for the delayed response.

I have updated my graphics cards' video drivers

    I'm using 2 AMD HD 6890 cards.

Along with the BSODs sometimes when I play video games there isn't even a blue screen the computer just restarts itself. I'm unsure if it's creating any dumps.

I'll update my specs right now

EDIT: specs have been updated. so since the last few crashes haven't even been BSOD, there have been no dump files created. from the bsods, i can see that an application called ntsokrnl.exe has been a problem in every single crash. although other applications have been found to crash the system too.

my friend who has had similar problem and we bought and built our computers from the same shop, says that he took out one of his graphics cards and that eliminated the none bsod crashing. i shall try that out. thanks again for your continuing help!

Hi there JMV. I went through those drivers. Most of drivers elong to programs i downloaded after BSOD issues to monitor hardware. Just in case they were causing problems of their own I have just gotten rid of said programs and their drivers.

However, the soundcard driver RT630x64.sys, was not part of a programi downloaded after the BSOD issues.

As such I have updated the driver. I am going to look for a wayto update my USB drivers also. I'll let you know if any more bsods come up or if the soundcard driver was the problem. Thanks

Have you restored your partition by an image backup program?
Check for update to your Razor devices, these have been known to cause problems.

You're getting a wide range of BSoD codes, this usually means a hardware problem.

Remove to software mentioned above and the hardware tests, if that doesn't come up with anything then we'll need to look at the games.

    Hey there Dave!

So after removing some of those old drivers i went a few days without any BSODs. However I just got two within 20 minutes of each other.

I have not restored a partition using a back up image
I've been getting bsods before i used the razer products, although i'm not sure if they are going to release a win8 driver for the keyboard as it's fairly old
I've run memtest a few times. The last two times i've run it was with 9 passes each.
I've used a lot of different tools including the ones people have mentioned in this thread to check my HDD, however I will also use the WD tool you have linked.

I am using a stock fan for the CPU. I suppose the next suggestion will be to be buy a better fan? I'm using 3 different case fans, so i suppose that if my CPU is overheating then it's the cpu fan that's crap.

The game crashes happen a lot, although have lessened dramatically (turns out the default for my cpu was to overclock, so i've made it go at factory speed). I've noticed the computer is more susceptible to bsods when I play Star Wars: The Old Republic, using a ramdisk. ImDisk is the application I use to create the ramdisk. Although, the bsods can occur without opening a game.

Thanks for your help and advice!
I'll go buy a blank disk and a new cpu fan now and let you know how it goes!

Can you post your latest full crash reports?

Are you using Windows memtest or memtest86+?
I don't recommend the Windows version, memtest86+ is the best RAM testing program.

The Razer drivers are known to cause problems.
Do you have a non-Razer keyboard to test with?

A good CPU cooler will help, even the $30 coolers are much better than stock.

Let us know the Lifeguard test results.

Never heard of a CPU being OC'ed at default, maybe the BIOS settings were changed.
    What settings did you change?
