Pro X64 not booting

Hello, I keep getting this error

Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. Were just collecting some error info and then well restart for you.

It will then restart and start automatic repair then after a few seconds screen goes black and i have a white cursor with movement and that is all, no repairing going on.

I am unable to boot into safe mode tried F8 and shift + F8.

I can get into bios and boot menu but I dont see anything there to help me.

I do not have Win 8 dvd due to downloading upgrade from Win 7 nor a dvd.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can go back to win7 from the windows.old folder.

Thanks SIW2 but i cant even log into windows, I am currently redownloading 8 upgrade on a diff/this pc, luckily they are both 64 bit, then gonna burn iso and try to repair from there or reinstall.

You restore from OUTSIDE of windows using a boot disc.

Right at the begining of that link.

The whole process takes me about 3 minutes at most.


You never know - reinstall might also work for you - worth a go.

It is possible form a command prompt - but much easier if you can see what you are doing.

The problem with attempting to reinstall - aside from from the result might not be any better - is that you will lose your current windows.old. You won't be able to go back then.
