Just upgraded to Windows 8 Pro and having a TON of issues. Not sure where to begin. My system will completely freeze and I will have to power down. If im playing a game the sound also gets stuck. It seems to freeze up when the system is under heavy loads.

I also have issues with drivers as well but cant seem to get them resolved. ANY help would be awesome, im becoming very frustrated and not sure what to do!

Asus p8p67 Pro

I have also upgraded to Win 8 Pro. I do have freezing issues where I've had to hard boot the PC. My circumstances might be a bit different in that it only seems to happen when I try to use Zune or Media Center. I've also posted I believe in the General part of the forum with no assistance. Hopefully, someone will help.

It usually only happens when I try to play Guild Wars 2. But it has happened outside of that also.

No clue. Update your video driver? If you have an ssd, update the firmware.

I have also had freezes and repeated BSOD. Also, I have had missing drives. I've tried reinstalling fresh about 5 times now, but I am still having random issues.

I will likely be going back to 7. 8 seems to be too rife with problems.

Your files don't show minidump files from BSODs. Check out if you have files in the c:\windows\minidump directory and post them.

Once the system freezes I will create the report and post them again.

So I had another crash, but this one was different. No freeze, system shutdown and restart. Came back with CPU temperature warning. During the shutdown the fans were changing speeds rapidly. New files here.

Asus has preset performance buttons. The high performance was checked, I switched it to normal to see if that was casuing issues

Your dumps are pointing towards your USB3.0 drivers and possibly to a legacy device attached to a port. I would recommend installing a Windows 8 compatible USB driver supplied by Asus.

Your Nvidia driver is also involved, consider a clean driver re-install.

Update your Ideazon ZBoard/Ideazon Fang MM USB HID driver (This device driver is incompatible with Windows 8)
Run a RAM test:

I have looked for both drivers and have had no luck. The USB 3.0 from Asus does not have any drivers for Windows 8 and the same goes for Idealzon Keyboard. I disabled them for now. I uninstalled my NVidia driver and let windows update the driver (which is a different version then the driver I was running).

I will run the Memtest overnight tonight to see if there are any errors. I will say that I ran the test with this memory a month ago without errors.
