DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE - Help very much appreciated!

Hi guys,

I recently updated my Sony Vaio VGN-Z690 to Windows 8 Pro x64. I've been getting some DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSODs and I'm not quite sure how to complete the diagnosis. I believe that I've managed to extract the minidump, but I'm relatively new to to this so I may very well have made a mistake. I've attached the text that I have.

I currently switched to the desktop driver 9.17.10.2875 (10/17/2012) driver version from
http://www.station-drivers.com/page/intel%20graphics.htm
for my system, a laptop.

I'm a bit confused: Is your processor a core 2 duo or a sandy bridge like mine?

It looks like the driver is pretty old - I'm trying to download an updated driver direct from Intel. In your case did updating the driver stop the crash?
