MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSODs (Kernel_PNP)

Hi guys,

I freshly installed Windows 8 Pro some days ago and get MEMORY_MANAGEMENT-BSODs and Kernel-PNP-entries in the event viewer.

The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device WpdBusEnumRoot\UMB\2&37c186b&0&STORAGE#VOLUME#.

Then I looked "2&37c186b&0&STORAGE#VOLUME#" up in the registry and found a volume listed in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Portable Devices

This doesn't make any sense to me since this drive is an internal one.

Maybe the drive is corrupt? I'm not sure. I would appreciate any help. SF_10-11-2012-folder has been attached in the dillon.zip

I appreciate any help.

Welcome
Your problem is caused by a driver. Either uninstall the appropriate software or go to the company website and update driver

Hello richc46,

first I want to thank you for this fast answer. Is it just enough uninstalling/deleting the driver using the device manager or may there be any leftovers?

I'm still not sure if this will fix this error, but if I get the BSOD again I will just report here.

If you are just going to delete the driver, you are better off uninstalling the entire software. Without the driver the software will not work. You can try to update the driver by going to the website. When you get another BSOD, post the file and we can see the new cause or if there are remnants.
