:( BSOD Every time I shut down - SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Hi all. I just upgraded Win7 to Win8 the other day. Each time I try to shut down my PC, I see the new frowny face BSOD for a spilt second, then my PC reboots (instead of shutting down).

I changed some setting to avoid the auto reboot and ensure a dump file was being created. Now, the BSOD appears until I press my power button.

I've attached the zip file created by the SF utility I found on this forum.

Any help you can offer would be great appreciated.

Okay. I got rid of all Apple products, but now I have a new problem. My metro (Start) screen locks up. The live tiles no longer update/animate, and I can hardly use the PC. If I get into the desktop, I can run whatever apps can run within that shell. Any Win 8 apps simply don't start. I can access the Start screen using the windows button on my keyboard and it will run for a few seconds, and then it locks up again. I'm thinking Win8 is a lemon.

Windows 8 is not a lemon, but you gpu might be bust. Update your display drivers.
