Hi! I have been having problems with shutting down too and I have tried setting button functions and that, still no luck. I don't have a "fast startup" thing.. When I set my laptop to shut down, I get a blue screen with an error thing: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE and then it just restarts itself. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Update: Laptop shuts down properly now! Fixed!!

I don't know how/what exactly fixed it but I downloaded this program "SW Update" off Samsung's website (my laptop's a Samsung Series 5) and here are the stuff that it recommended me to install/update: (I don't know what half of these do :S but I clicked OK anyway)
-Quick starter
-Settings
-Support center
-Display colour profile
-ExpressCache
-Bluetooth driver
-Touchpad driver
-Airplane mode control driver
-LAN driver
-Sound driver
-Wireless LAN driver
-Samsung recovery solution
-There was also something BIOS thing?
I have been restarting and shutting down my laptop like 5 times now to make sure that it wasn't a one-off but yeah it works like normal now I'm thinking I was supposed to get this program before upgrading my laptop to windows 8?
