Every time I connect my Huawei Broadband Modem my OS (win8 pro) and try to open a webpage system crashes, and on BSOD it says that error is BAD_POOL_CALLER. I saw this thread and it someone sad that updating device driver wil solve the problem, but it won't work with me. I also tried to uninstall drivers, delete registry keys and evene restore system to a previous state but it wont work. In attachmet are minidump files. Does anyone knows how could i fix the problem? Thanks.

The above is the cause of your problems. You can either uninstall the applicable software or go to the website and update driver.

As I said before, I've tried updating driver with the latest version, but it stil doesn't work. I used different softwares beside device's default, but windows still crashes.

Yes, I know that you said that, but
Did you get it from the website or Device Manager?

If you went to the website, you have the most up to date and has nothing to do with Windows Updater. You have given me 4 dump reports that consistenly report that driver as the problem. In a situation like this, I would have to assume, that the software is not ready for 8. Call the company and see what they suggest and if they have other complaints. 8 does not have to change, your software has to change to be compatible with 8.

I think that it is not the case because device worked for a week before it started malfunctioning. And I tried it on another computer with win8 and it worked properly.

I think I found the solution. In Device Manager Huawei device is enlisted as network adapter and as modem. I've disabled device as network adapter and changed connection type in device's software to modem and for now there's no BSOD anymore. Thanks richc46 for helping.

Thanks a lot, you are a life saver!
I had the same problem all of a sudden (Windows 7 x64) and thanks to you I switched the connection from NDIS to RAS (Modem) and it seems to be working.
so the problem is caused by "ewusbnet.sys" (HUAWEI USB NDIS Miniport Driver) but how was it working ok for almost a year then started the BSOD ???

I know this is an old thread, but I just couldn't stop myself!
