    Intermittent freezing, VERY frustraing

So, just installed windows 8 pro and getting intermittent freezing that requires a force shut down. I've tried to look through the event log but I can't seem to find a problem. At first it looked like it was the Intel rapid storage software, so I uninstalled and restarted, but it didn't fix the problem. All my drivers should be up to date as well as my BIOS. The freezing happens anywhere from at log in or an hour after log in. Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks

    Try this:
    Open elevated command prompt.
    Type: bcdedit /set disabledynamictick yes

    See if it works out.

Didn't work even after a reboot... I noticed that I had a DHCP problem with my internet connection and an error that was caused by IPV6, but I've tried the solutions to them that I've found in other forums and it hasn't helped. is there anybody who can read my diagnosis? Yay! there goes $40

Yes, that's what the attachment in my original post is.

I think I've boiled down the error to 'Event 1001, DHCP-CLient'. This is the error I get:

Your computer was not assigned an address from the network (by the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address 0x7670028DA838. The following error occurred: 0x79. Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server.

I've disabled IPv6 and renewed the leasing on my router, but it wasn't fixed the freezing. Every time the IP isn't assigned, it causes Windows 8 to freeze and I have to force shut down. The log says this has happened 26 times in the last 24hrs, so you can imagine why this is so frustrating. Id there anything I can do? I have a new modem on the way which is to remedy a separate problem, but it may conveniently fix this problem...

Ok, here's what's in the event log. The errors coincide with the freezing, and they also come up on my routers log. Each of the errors are identical.

That's interesting. I am having the same problem as you, and the only thing issue I've had in my event log was also related to my network adapter. But, I've uninstalled and re-installed those drivers, along with doing lots of other things, and the problem remains. It's driving me crazy.
