    Chrome in the Modern UI

I have to say that I'm quite impressed with Chrome's Modern UI interface on Windows 8. It's nice to have a full desktop browsing experience without having to switch to the desktop. My days of using Opera as my primary browser may be over!

F11 / Fullscreen is also something that takes all the screen on the desktop version. But yeah, every browser now needs a Metro version as well.

It's not the full screen functionality I like. I rarely, if ever use F11. For me, the important thing is not having to excessively switch between the Modern and Desktop UI. Right now, I only use the Desktop UI for Office, Powershell, and Hyper-V (I use the Modern UI Remote Desktop app to connect to my virtual machines).

I don't ever have my browser full screen. Even sitting here on my 14" laptop at 1440x900...I don't have the browser consuming my entire screen..and the browser IS the only thing I am running.

Modern UI and Desktop UI are still independent in the stable build of Chrome. I believe the dev team has addressed this in the beta channel.
