Solved netflix issue

using Windows 8 I get an error on Netflix usually 2-3 times per hour. It is a 8307 error that stops any program I am watching. Usually this error is associated with Silverlight. I have removed it and than re-installed a couple of times but the problem continues. I have made Netlix.com a trusted sight in Internet Explorer, but still, no affect. Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a solution?

This could be video driver related. Have you installed the Windows 8 specific vendor driver? (not the one that Microsoft provided, but rather downloaded the one from your vendor?)

I have downloaded the 64 bit drivers from each of the hardware vendors, but they are not Windows 8 specific.

I did as was suggested, and you were right a Windows 8 video driver is now available, unfortunately the same error persists with the new video driver.

The solution turned out to be: As administrator, I had to put the web homepage as a trusted site under the security pull down menu in internet explorer.

BTW, the Metro version of Netflix is giving me a internet connection error of W8156 8000FFFF when I try to play a video after logging in. Checked Windows firewall and Netflix is allowed through.

Netflix weird problem

I have the same issue on testing Netflix modern app in win8. My laptop on win8 works fine, but my other machine given me the same error. checked video driver, sliverlight, permission and they all setup fine. Internet explorer can play Netflix no problem. The modern app for Netflix still have bug.

The error has changed to W8106-101 (not that it helps run the app!)

I was given the notification in the store yesterday that my Netflix app needed an update...since then, I can't use it. It keeps giving me an error message that there is something wrong with my network connection, and that it may just be temporary & to try again later..but no matter how or when I try, I keep getting the same message. I've tried uninstalling & re-installing the app, nothing. Not a HUGE deal since it works in my browser, but I was enjoying the app & wondered if this is an issue on the Netflix end or what? I knwo it can't be my PC as I just got it a couple of weeks ago..so it's brand new. And my internet connection is fine.

Anyone out there experiencing this or have any solutions?

Thank you!
