IE 11 Crashes every time it opens

IE crashes every time you launch the app. I get the window that says "Internet Explorer has stopped working Looking for a solution."

Here are the things that I've done to try and fix it
1. Went into Programs and Features, unchecked Internet Explorer to uninstall it, rebooted. Then went back into the same place and re-enabled it - didn't work.
2. Went into the IE Settings, Advance tab, hit Reset on the Browser - didn't work.
3. Disabled all Add-ons and removed all foreign tool bars - didn't work

Chrome works fine, no issues.

Currently what I am doing is right click over the IE 11 icon, select Run as Administrator and it works, no crashing.

So what does that tell me? Why does it work without issues when you run in that mode?

Any suggestions or tips would be great!

Thanks for the reply. There are a couple of things in that article that I haven't tried.

But, what do you make of the fact IE works fine if I Run as Administrator? I don't know what that is telling me.

Probably a systemfile is corrupted.

Use SFC to check and repair windows systemfiles.

If SFC could not fix something, then run the command again to see if it may be able to the next time. Sometimes it may take running the sfc /scannow command 3 times restarting the PC after each time to completely fix everything that it's able to.

If not, then run the Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth command to repair any component store corruption, restart the PC afterwards, and try the sfc /scannow command again.

There are problems being reported with Internet Explorer 11 in the Windows 7 forums regarding last Windows Update (Patch Tuesday). Some are speculating KB3154070 (Cumulative Security update for IE11) is causing a conflict with users running Avira Security software. You might want to follow the thread to see if it applies to you.

In my case, the IE11 problem seems to be random. If IE11 is unable to access any webpage I have to log off and log back in to fix the problem, which requires my security software (McAfee) to reload during that process. You can try disabling your security software to isolate the problem to see if it's a firewall issue, or add iExplorer to the exclusion list.
