As it was already mentioned, the easy way is to use a VM in VirtualBox or VMware with Windows XP and ie6. You can test site there.

There is no way to replace ie10 with ie6.

Thanks guys for your suggestions. Accidentally I came to know that we can uninstall IE 10 using Package Manager (pkgmgr.exe). But I'm not sure about it.

If anybody here knows about uninstalling a program using pkgmgr.exe, then feel free to share your views. Many thanks

I want to know is there any way to uninstall IE 10, so that I can install IE 6.

I didn't found a way to uninstall from Control Panel, as it comes built in with OS.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Hi there
why not attack this THE EASY WAY.

Instead of messing about with a perfectly good running system and even if you were to get IE6 up and running on W8 it would be a TERRIBLE idea as there would be about 9 quadrillion bits of malware which would slip by your browser.

As others have said --use a VM.

Create a tiny XP virtual machine with vbox or vmware player.
Just run your IE6 browser from inside the VM.

If you change machines etc -- just take the VM with you -- it could be tiny enough to run it from a USB drive.

If the VM gets infected in any way just toss it (i.e delete from USB ) and create a new one.

You could probably run this VM in 256M of memory -- certainly 512M would be more than enough.

As others have pointed out too really you should use IE8 on the VM but IE6 will work.

If you want to go back even further with no activation problems just install a Windows 2000 VM. This won't even THINK of updating IE6 to IE8.

XP VM build would take you all of 3 minutes to do on a decent machine --you don't need to install any othet apps apart from VMWARE TOOLS (if running from vmware) or additions if running from VBOX. install these AFTER the VM is powered on and booted up.

    Cheers

Whomever told you that is talking nonsense. It can be disabled but NOT uninstalled as it is part of your system, IE6 cannot be installed in Windows 8 full stop. Stop trying to break it and follow the Virtual Machine idea.

Okay lets discard it. Pkgmgr can't do so!
