Does new chrome beta fix freezing issue?

I had freezing issues with chrome. The computer just froze randomly. So I am currently using Firefox (better than IE), and I haven't encountered the issue yet.

I heard that Google released chrome beta, which supports metro UI and etc for windows 8 release preview.(Metro Google Chrome Web Browser For Windows 8 Now Available For Download Via Dev Channel | Redmond Pie)

I wonder if this version fixes the issue? I really want to use chrome again.

Never used it in a long time. But Chromium works here pretty well:

Download Chromium 21.0.1174.0 Free - Open source web browser for a safer, faster, and more stable way to experience the Internet - Softpedia

It's the same as Chrome but with this:
    instead of this:

And also no updates (oh well...)

Or just try Chrome 21.0.1174.0 or higher.

Chrome or Chromium is not important: you need good graphics driver and a stable flash player to improve stability.

    Good Luck

If you wanna try Chromium from the link above:

-extract it in Program Files (for 32bit Windows)
    or
-extract it in Program Files (x86) (for 64 bit Windows)

-run chrome.exe from there and it creates a shortcut to Desktop

I didn't had any crashes with it yet but i'm mostly using Waterfox x64 now. (Waterfox | Downloads | The fastest 64-Bit variant of Firefox!)

Hope you get over the crashes.

Are there any links to that Metro-style Chrome?

We can give it a try to see how it works (but keep in mind that it's the first in it's kind for Metro environment and bugs and crashes are possible).

This one is supposed to be metro chrome. It's not even beta. https://www.google.com/chrome/eula.h...l&platform=win

Also, does anybody know how to go into chrome metro mode?

    Good question.

Usually 64bit executables are faster but only a bit (that is still good). They can allocate (and use) more RAM memory (what's the advantage for a browser?)

Some x64 programs are slower than x86 versions because they lack enhancements and are still in development.

I never really paid attention in making a speed test between Firefox and Waterfox but you'll never know.
Waterfox can use new processor enhancements => ssse3 support for Intel CPU's and other stuff as it's listed on their site.

If you have 64bit Windows, you'll have to see for yourself if it's better or not (no speed improvement visible here => they claim it's faster).

I use it anyway in combination with Flash x64 and Java x64.

I try always to get a program in x64 when possible, and now the most programs that i've installed by now are x64. But that's just my approach.
    Use the programs you like.

If you got enough memory and good processor, why not use 64bit?

Well on some of the tests on IE Testdrive site, Waterfox got better results:

Oh, I'm defiantly trying it Also, is Firefox 32bit? Whoa never knew that. I kind of prefer 64 bit ones, but sometimes, 64 bit ones are worse than 32 bit (like IE. It was unstable)

Also, is 64 bit iTunes better?

Is my CPU able to benefit from 64 bit softwares?

CPU: Intel Core i5-2410M @ 2.30 GHz (no overclocking)
    RAM: 8GB

I got plenty of RAM because I needed to run virtual PCs. I can run up to 3 at same time!
