New Firefox is blocking Adobe Flash

Seems with new 39.0 update for Firefox i started to get warnings to block Adobe Flash Player, it also set it to "Ask to Activate"
At first i thought it was out of date needed updating, not case i have newest version. Guess as most will say always been a security risk, but more so when was not updated. Not sure if need it, but some sites are asking to activate because of this.
Even causing me an issue here, guess it is at my own risk as said.

Wondered if these add ons were enough but as i see sites are asking for Flash player, although one here is listed by Adobe and is always active.

Used it in the past with never having issues with threats, seems IE has no issues with it and not trying to block it.

Bug 1182751 - (CVE-2015-5122) Blocklist vulnerable versions of Flash Player plugin (18.0.0.203 and lower) might be of interest to you and others wondering about this issue.

BTW, that other Adobe plugin is something to do with being able to watch DRM related content in Firefox, and has nothing to do with the exploit. Here's the page dealing with that additional plugin: Watch DRM content on Firefox.

Thanks that was a help ! Strange being version mentioned being newest still has a bug, as seen it was just updated 2 days ago July 11 2015.
First time i have seen this, even though always been thoughts of risks with Adobe, but only if using older version. Guess have to wait and see as just an issue with Firefox and Adobe flash.

It's not a Firefox "bug", it's just that Firefox is raising the alarm bells about the Flash vulnerability and that IE is choosing not to. The issue is caused by Flash being vulnerable. It could be argued that Firefox is more concerned about user security than Microsoft's IE.

It's a new FF policy. There was a zero-day exploit reported in Flash 18.0.0.203 and FF blocked Flash to protect users.

Thanks !! Thought it could not just be just Firefox, used IE no warnings from same sights required Adobe. Amazing to me how they will say IE is very secure and yet no alerts to this issue letting users be unaware when using IE, bad on MS. Assumed it was not a big concern since Windows 10 coming out, more efforts towards the launch.
