Solved Need to get old view back
I don't know why but the URL keeps showing on the top for some reason, above the tabs I have open. I need to get my tabs next to it again. I tried using different things in view but none had to do anything with this it seems.
Sorry if I sound stupid, or if this sounds trivial.

Very interesting, thank you. Soon my OS will me .1 but for now this is great, I don't know why but I extremely prefer the view you have helped me return to. Maybe it's common usage, I was furious at the design of Windows 8 after I destroyed my Windows 7 computers and laptops and couldn't find non-used ones.
If you are wanting to change win 8.1 to classic setting, there is a switch in a freebie (Advanced system care tools) that restores all setting to win 7 style. Smart menu 8.
