Help with open IE windows size shrinking when desktop lock

Hi,

I have an issue I cannot resolve and ask if anyone knows how to fix it?

Basically I have IE/win explorer windows sized to a preferred size and width, but if they are open on the desktop and my computer locks after inactivity or I manually lock it, when I input my password and unlock the desktop all the windows have shrunk and moved to the top right of the desktop and I have to manually resize them all again

I just cannot find a solution to this and I have to continually resize them back to how I have them.

Also when I open certain windows programs, they always open to the top right and never in the center of the screen, which is annoying, so I have to drag to the center to see them properly, is this a bug in windows or can this be fixed?
