    Chrome - Pixelated Blocks

So earlier I was playing a game and my display driver crashed (it's all up to date). Hasn't happened in the eight months since I built this computer. Didn't think much of it, but later while browsing Chrome I started to get these things popping up (see attachment; the green spots are censors). So I restarted my computer and the problem went away. Then it came back. I ran Windows Update and installed the 30+ updates that had been uploaded since I last updated way back less than two weeks ago and restarted again, got some error and the computer went into a brief repair mode. Offered "restart" and "advanced settings", so I clicked restart and everything has been perfect. Restarted again just to check and all is fine.

Whether or not the problem comes back (it hasn't yet, fingers crossed), I'm hoping to find out why it happened (because knowledge is important). So any help would be appreciated.

TL;DR - Glitch blocks from Hell are invading Chrome. SOS
