Solved cannot log in to some sites or forums

When I go to certain websites my computer won't let me log in.
I go through the log in process, and everything goes fine, but when I am redirected to the home page after logging in, I am still not logged in. I know it's not the website because they're forums and other people are posting
this does not occur only on some sites or forums , on others it logs me immediately
I am using explorer 11

Are you using Firefox w/self destructing cookies add-on?

I checked and changed cookies settings to always allow session cookies but it does not help, certain sites I can login (like this one) ,others I cannot
I am using IE 11
its not a website/ forum problem because on my home pc with vista I have no such problem with these sites /forums

it seems the problem is solved in explorer 11
what I did I ran window restore , disabled a couple of start up apps which I don't use regularly, and for the moment it is accepting my logging in , for those sites/forums
it seems one of those apps that was enabled when windows starts was causing the problem
