IE11 and backing out from .pdf

Hello, dear friends. I have a most irritating issue.
When I open a .pdf file in IE11 I can't seem to back out of it. There is no other way, but to close the tab and search again.
I use FF and Chrome as well, but they do not seem to have the issue since they have their own readers integrated.

I noticed it too, if you mean it's like when you open a link on a page, or a news article. May it sandboxes the pdf out of safety reasons, they are known vector of attack, even Google warn against downloading them and prefers you use their online reader.

I mean when I am googling and there is a pdf like: http://www.lendingworks.co.uk/sites/...ocedure_v1.pdf (just a random pdf). Once opened, I can no longer go back to google search results by clicking the back arrow or any other way. I am not speaking about downloading files, just opening pdf like this. The issue is isolated to IE.

When I click on them IE wants me to save it and it is downloaded, it will not let me just open it right off. This is what I mean, I just click your link

No, in my case it's opens it because I have Adobe PDF browser plugin within IE which does that automatically.

Oh ok. I haven't downloaded Sumatra yet (use it on windows 7), I was wondering why the Reader app wasn't opening it, guess I'm doomed to 3rd party again

Have you tried right clicking the page to go back/close PDF?

I've visited pages, where you have to double click the back arrow real fast (sometimes multiple times), to go back. Or are both of your arrows translucent(meaning no go)?
