On I E 11 How to Use Google Search Engine instead of Bing

I have tried about 7 methods but none worked.
My list of programs does not include Bing - so I cannot delete it.
I have got just one search engine associated with I E 11 (Google) and set it as Default. However; in that same line of text it says that it is "Not Available".
Anyway; when I select I E; I get MSN combined with Bing.
    Please advise me

Go to gear icon > manage add-ons > search providers > Find more search providers (at Bottom left) > pick one(or some)

Yeah sorry just tried it myself and I see what you mean. the top results in the address bar will always be bin in IE., But if you type a query "weather" for example then click the icon in the address bar comes a drop down menu and you can pick the google icon.

    !

My address bar does include a tiny down arrow and if clicked produces a list of 5 items - but Google is not one of them
Of course I have found another method of searching with Google as the default search engine. I installed the Chrome browser. (Voice search and reply too).
However I would like IE as a secondary browser - with Google search.

Not the down arrow on the right the icon on the right where on new tab page will first show an explorer icon. type weather in it , the click the icon on the leftAttachment 55895and it will show the top 5 results(that's what's not available in manage add-ons) on the bottom will be a google icon click that. also in manage search providers make sure google is on top and set as default...that's all.

'Not Available' is normal. It's saying 'Search Suggestions' and 'Top Result' are unavailable, but that doesn't prevent the Search Provider from working:

I'm not sure what you mean by "when I select I E; I get MSN combined with Bing". How are you searching, by typing directly into the address bar? You could always try manually adding Google as a Search Provider to see whether that works OK.

    1) Go to EnhanceIE.com - IE7 Search provider builder
    2) Paste https://www.google.com/#q=TEST into the first box
    3) Type Google into the second box
    4) Click 'Install' button.
    5) When the IE box comes up, also tick 'Make this my default search provider'.

As everything works OK for me it's a bit of a guessing game, however it may also be worth looking through the Internet Explorer Settings. For example, does unchecking 'Use Windows Search for better results' make any difference?

Hello Cliff. i am unable to follow your current advice as my search bar is not like yours. No internet explorer icon is present. On the left of the search field it shows MSN. In the search field it shows Bing then a web search to click.rc

You need to make changes in the "desktop" version of Internet Explorer. What you describe sounds like the "modern" version which is launched from the start screen. Changes made in the desktop version of IE's settings will also change those settings in the "modern" version of IE, even though you cannot access or see most settings from the modern version.
