I upgraded to 8.1 yesterday (from 8 Pro) but I don't think that's the issue, because it was happening before, just not as much.

Emails will end up in Junk folder unread. I have about 7 email addresses. Only happens to 2 so far. But those are the 2 I really use.

I have tried every suggestion I have found on the web. No luck.
I am no beginner.

Maybe I should just lose win live mail

Can anyone help?
Thanks

Unfortunately, microsoft 'assumes' you will mark emails as not junk as soon as you receive them, thus creating the situation where if you haven't kept up your email settings, you're in for some work. I would think they would have created a 'safe sender' list, similar to backing up your contacts, so any new windows installation would be able to import settings, to any mail app created by microsoft. Such is the world we live in, unless you keep on top of things, they will eventually overwhelm you. I'm juggling systems varying from Win xp, to Win 8.1.1, and there's no rest for the weary, especially for the type of users you run into in a work situation, most don't care how it works, they just want it to work the way they want it to. Sometimes you just want to bang your head against the wall...

Sorry if I sounded ungrateful to the first responder to my post-just so frustrating. MS just assumes we are all morons and they must not let us stray from their stupid rules and actually use the PC the way WE want to.

Thanks guys :)
