Can anyone confirm this? There is no mail app available if you have a local account? I went to the Store and Productivity. It says I own this app. However, only the Calendar is installed.

The Metro Mail application should exist, even if you have logged in with a 'local' account. However, you won't be able to do much with it, unless you sign-in with a Microsoft account (image) If you can't see the Mail application, try searching for it. On the Metro start page just start typing Mail and hopefully you'll find it.

Thanks, Calico. Mail is still not listed among the other apps. It loads when, I you say, I search for it. However, it's just a blank slate. It says 'Accounts', but nothing is listed underneath and it doesn't give me any options. Someone, on some forum, said to press the windows key along with C to add an account, but that doesn't do anything of that nature. One of those bugs...

Just to clarify, when you search form Mail, you do or you don't find it? If you've found the Mail tile, right click and select Pin to Start. To switch from a local account use the following:

1. WinKey + C to raise the charms bar
2. Select More PC Settings
3. Select Users
4. Select Switch to a Microsoft Account
