Save a WebMail File to My HDD With Internet Explorer 11

I have had no luck with this, maybe I'm missing something.
I'm trying to get away from desktop email clients.
I access my email directly form my internet provider's website.
First, I open the email on my internet provider's web site.
When I use IE 11's File menu Save as, IE save the file regardless of which type I select.
Problem is when I open the file form my hdd the email never opens, I am simply taken to my internet provider's web page.
It also take IE 1 or 2 minutes to open the page.

How might I save an email I open from my internet provider's web page to my HDD???

Try saving as .MHT file, later you can always open it in IE again.

    That worked ok.
But, I was using IE desktop when it didn't seem to work properly.
In IE Metro it seems to work ok.

    Thanks,
    James
